When there’s a tiger—and a lion—on your tail, there’s no escape…

Delilah is strong, independent—and a princess on the run. Her father, King of the Falcon kingdom, wants to unite her with Pierce, Prince of the Tiger kingdom, and Jason, Prince of the Lions. Never can she imagine giving herself to one man if there is no love—let alone two! So she flees her home in hopes of avoiding the union.

Delilah may be dead-set against the plan, but Jason and Pierce have no doubts. She is the one they want to complete their triad, to be their mate. She alone has the power to form the bond that will, in turn, join all their kingdoms in peace.

They’re prepared to use every means of pleasure to convince her they are all destined to be together. But first they have to catch her…

Warning: This book is hot! Hot! Hot! Threesomes, m/m, and capture fantasies, oh my!

I’m slowly becoming a fan girl of Shelli Stevens, although I don’t claim gushing fan girl of anyone, it’s not my style. But it’s natural that I resonate with some authors more than others and she’s one of them. She writes fun, light, juicy, sexy, romantic stories that never fail to entertain me. I downloaded Theirs to Capture as soon as it came out because I knew I’d get a nicely written story with some hot smexin.

What I didn’t expect was that I’d be having hot flashes non-stop, and not of those nasty old lady kind, but of the wow!, these characters are burning up the pages, kind. I hadn’t checked really to see what category Samhain put this under so I didn’t notice that it was erotica, but right out of the gate, Theirs to Capture is one yummy sexual scenario after another and the plot, though minor, kept this story glued together in a good way.

Delilah is a princess and a virgin. She longs to marry a man she’s in love with and who loves her, but her father has decided that it’s time for her to marry. The kicker is that two princes from other Kingdoms want to marry her together to make a stronger fortress against the Bear Kingdom, and have been petitioning her father for that for a couple of years. These two princes, Jason and Pierce, also have a sexual relationship with each other and they feel that Delilah will be the perfect partner for them over and above the politics of it.

Delilah is pissed off at this and runs, or shall I say flies as she’s a falcon shifter, and Jason, a lion shifter, and pierce, a tiger shifter, go after her. She’s captured, of course, and the men have their way with her, giving her orgasm after orgasm trying to convince her that this marriage is in her best interest. When she realizes that they will never let go of her, that it’s inevitable that she will have to marry them, and also, that she actually likes what her body is feeling, she slowly comes round, even though her mind is still rebelling at the thought of not being able to marry someone she loves and she makes her feelings known.

First I’m going to say that I don’t get off on the capture fantasy. Nor am I a fan of forced, not going to go as far as rape here, but forced submission scenarios either. However, Shelli Stevens did manage to walk a really fine line here keeping both men just out of the realm of being insensitive clods and Delilah from being a doormat. I think sexual/romantic tension with this kind of dynamic is hard to keep up without the characters swinging drastically in one direction or another and I think Shelli Stevens did a great job of keeping it appealing and not a turn off.

Jason and Delilah have been friends since childhood, so she thinks of him more as a friend. She’s also not yet had any real sexual stirrings inside herself so she’s rather clueless still about her sex appeal. Although Jason really does love Delilah he hasn’t expressed that and she is hurt that he would betray her like that. Out of both men though, he’s the softer of the two and treats her in a more respectful way without giving in to her balking.

Pierce comes across as a bit older and worldlier than Jason. Even in his homosexual relationship with Jason he seems to be the dominant one. He’s very cold and bossy with Delilah, basically telling her too bad for you, you will submit to us. Even so though, when Delilah shows her hurt and pain that she is being forced to marry against her will, he does feel hurt that she is not coming to him/ them willingly and this is what kept me from wanting to clog him.

Delilah as a character is written in an interesting way as well. Her body is betraying her when she gets really turned on against her will. She really tries to fight the guys, feeling so angry at being forced against her will. But it’s hard for her when two men are so lovingly making her feel such physical bliss. When she finally does give in, it's out of understanding. I have to say again, Shelli Stevens walked a very fine line here because I hate that scenario that a woman is forced to be submissive and because she’s plied with orgasms, she suddenly and easily looses her spirit and becomes the good little docile woman.

In this instance though, Delilah gets that even though these men will never let her go and she really has no choice, the way they care about her and treat her body with reverence and respect, they are not so bad really and that giving in might even be nice. The way it was written kept me from getting pissed at her as well. Kudos to Shelli Stevens on this.

Theirs to Capture is one sizzling hot story and good for an afternoon quick, pick-me-up in between more substantial books. Just a warning here, you’d better have good fan handy or your partner near by because your going to need it.

Sex rating: Commando. Yowza! Tssssssss….burned up my ebookwise! m/m, m/m/f, m/f/m, double penetration, anal.

Grade: B+

Yeah, the cover is cool. Except I don't know why that one guy is balding or has a receding hair line. That's kind of unusual for a cover guy. But I like the sepia tones and then muscle in the back guy. :D
